On the morning of Mar.16th, Mr. Liu Jingzhen, Chairman of Sinopharm Group, and Ms. Shi Shengyi, Vice President of Sinopharm Group, head of Sinopharm taskforce of International Aid and Export to Fight COVID-19 (the taskforce), Chairwoman of Sinopharm International, came to Sinopharm International to inspect and instruct on the aiding of medical protective supplies to the international community.
The team led by Chairman Liu listened to the report made by Mr. Li Can, President of Sinopharm International and the deputy head of the taskforce, on the work of joint fight against the pandemic with the world to implement the requirements of the State Council’s joint prevention and control mechanism, and acknowledged the work Sinopharm International had done. Chairman Liu made the instructions to firstly stick to the philosophy of “a community with a shared future for mankind” and exhibit the good image of a centrally administered SOE to the world through international aid, and to secondly expand the channels for sourcing and ensure the quality of the supplies through hard work with even higher efficiency. He also reiterated that Sinopharm International should fulfill the responsibility as a centrally administered SOE and work with other SOEs to accomplish the mission.
It is reported that as of the day of the meeting, Sinopharm had supplied 2.549 million pieces of medical protective material to 11 countries.
Ms. Jiang Xin, Director of Strategy and Brand Management Department and deputy head of the taskforce, Mr. Ma Ke, Executive Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department and deputy head of the taskforce, and members of Sinopharm International’s management team attended the meeting.
